Sekhmet: the Fire Within By BellaDonna Albright Aligning yourself with a God essence is nearly impossible unless you feel a deeply penetrating and all-consuming link to that essence. To feel a link which is akin to being the soul mate to that fragment of the God Soul is one of the most enlightening experiences we, in human bodies, can achieve. Since we are all fragments, shards of Divine Purpose in the Mirror of Infinity, it is possible to achieve the alignment with which we will be able to seek Purpose and Truth. As incarnate souls in human bodies, it is often incredibly difficult to break the chain which has been inbred within us; but we all carry pre-encoded DNA patterns within our bodies which we can use to access the StarGates in order to achieve memory. In attempting to access these memories we should be very careful to know upon which doors we are knocking, so to speak. Too much memory can cause illness, madness, or death. Do not attempt to access all your DNA memories at once or even in one lifetime! All will be remembered when you are ready. Some of you already have found an affiliation with an essence fragment, but for those of you who have not found within yourself the fragment of God Soul which is your personal alignment, I suggest that you begin with meditation and research. Check out the ancient myths. Read and ask questions. Do not limit yourself. Your personal alignment could be found anywhere from Atlantis to one of the Nine Muses, from the Bible or Sumerian antiquity. One thing is for sure, once you find it, you will know. Your God Soul alignment is probably looking for you too. My personal alignment is with the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet, who brings awakening through Her cleansing, or destructive, fires. Her Temple is often called The Womb of Visions, and you can find references to Her in the Book of Revelations in the Bible. Seeking Her is never easy, nor always safe. She is a fiery goddess, sometimes more willing to achieve your destruction so that you must begin again, than to grant immeasurable wisdom. Sekhmet has often been called the Life-Giver to the Gods and Great One of Magic, but She is not an alignment to be taken lightly. When you give yourself over to Sekhmet, you give yourself up to Her completely. She will either take you within Herself, into Her Womb, or She will destroy you and drink of your blood as in the ancient tales of when She walked the earth. Do not casually choose Her. Sekhmet must choose to awaken you. In seeking Sekhmet, one of the best ways to bring Her into yourself (in essence asking Her to let you in) is to multiply Her image. There are over 500 statues of Her throughout Egypt; one explanation of this is that She asked humanity to build them for Her in return for Her ending a pestilence. This, I have found, is the key. She has asked us to multiply Her image. This does not mean simply sculpting monuments to Her, but rather multiplying Her image within us. If we can look out of Her eyes, taste the wine with Her feline tongue, and flick the whiskers of Eternity, and then we could find our personal Truth and seek Purpose. Here is a brief yet effective meditation for those aligned with Sekhmet, but it could also be used with a few other powerful alignments: Try to obtain a small statue or figurine of the Goddess. (If you cannot find one, you may copy an image of Her from a book in your local library.) Sit comfortably with this image in front of you. Gaze at it and memorize every line. Make this image so familiar that when you close your eyes you can still see it perfectly. Allow the Goddess to fill your every thought, feel Her permeating every cell within your being. Then feel Her within your soul. Look deeply into Her eyes, the Eyes of Infinity. Next see yourself standing on a raised circular platform in a darkened room or clearing in the forest, even imagine the platform within a pyramid (whichever comes most easily to you). Allow pure radiant moonlight in to reveal five statues of Sekhmet and five large mirrors surrounding you. You look in front of you and see your reflection, with Sekhmet's image on either side of the mirror. All you see is mirror, Sekhmet, mirror, Sekhmet, all around you. Allow the statues to become incarnations of the Goddess. See them breathe, feel Her presence. Look at Her, then look at your reflection. Back and forth, you and the Goddess. The stone statues have become living embodiments of the Goddess Sekhmet. She is looking at you, trying to see if you are worthy of Her wisdom. Allow Her to see into your soul; let Her examine your essence fragment. Now, allow Her to see you as a worthy vessel of Her alignment and Her essence. Now She will stand, if the statue you chose was seated, or move toward your form in the center of the circular platform. The Five Sekhmet embodiments will now enter into your being, see them walk up to you and step into your body. Feel them take residence within your being. Close your eyes and feel your soul become a fragment of the God Soul essence called Sekhmet. Now She has accepted you, and you have allowed remembrance to begin. You have knocked on the door of memory, and you were answered! You have sought Purpose, and are now able to begin to find it! The Truth is whispering to you, listen! Now open your eyes. Look at your reflection in the five mirrors still around you. What do you see? Do you still see the same old face, or one charged with the power of Sekhmet? Your reflection has probably changed immeasurably. Now slowly come out of your meditative state. Keep a notebook on your meditations, and be sure to write down what you have experienced here. Do this internalizing meditation often, and always write down what happens. Each time will be a little different from the last. When one comes to the House of the Leonine One, Her form is never forgotten.
