Malachite
Although malachite fits my definition of a crystal, it does not fit the geological
definition. Malachite is hydrous copper carbonate, a mineral containing a great deal of
copper. It is classified as semi-hard (3.5 to 4) and can be made into ornamental objects
and jewelry. Its fabulous swirling light and dark green patterns make it very popular.
Malachite has several healing uses:
1) Because it is green, it works well with the heart chakrum—emotional healing and
balance.
2) Because of its high copper content, it is said to be very good for those with
arthritic conditions.
3) Like all crystals, it can be instantly programmed for other uses—protection,
health, love, energy, etc.
4) It is the true money stone.
Curiously, malachite (the money stone) with azurite (a business prosperity stone) is a
cancer fighting stone. This combination is common in nature.

What gem or gems are best for creating physical energy in order to exercise?
Whenever we wish to amplify or increase energies of any type, we look to the eternal
amplifier—the color orange. Any stone in this color range will work well (e.g.,
carnelian, red jasper, and other orange agates).
What can peacock copper be used for?
Anything containing copper helps arthritics. In addition, peacock copper seems to help
in energy balancing (because of the colors) and in the projection of love energies.
What's a good stop-smoking stone?
Smoking is an addiction, plain and simple. The stone most often used to break or return
from an addiction is Botswana agate. It enhances one's ability to focus on one particular
problem.
What is a good prosperity stone?
This depends on what kind of prosperity, for example: malachite for money; azurite for
business; all colors of tourmaline for health; adventurine for crops and herds. Take your
pick.
