The Crystal Man
By John Burchard
Lepidolite
Lepidolite is hydrous potassium lithium aluminum and is part of the mica group. It's very beautiful shades of light purple range from lilac to lavender. Although it is much too soft (only 2-21/2) for jewelry, there are some very fine polished spheres of lepidolite containing pink tourmaline crystals.
The purple color means that this stone is good for spiritual work. But lepidolite has earned its nickname, "the peacemaker," for its other qualities. It seems to relieve stress and quiet anger. In addition, some say that it quells nightmares and, when it has pink tourmaline in it, can help reconcile lovers. Others claim that it also brings good luck and promotes psychic reception.
From my viewpoint, lepidolite is virtually a must for one's collection.

Ask the Crystal Man
What is a good stone/crystal for stomach ailments?
The Egyptians used to take powdered amethyst, but I don't advise this. I would use a yellow stone, since these have the energies that associated with the stomach. One I've found that works well is natural citrine.
Which crystal is best for nerves?
One of the best is Lepidolite (see above). Another is amazonite, "the stress release stone." Yet another would be rose quart for emotional balancing.
Is there a stone that helps lovers to communicate?
There is a stone for just that purpose. It has several names: When found on the Moon, it was called lunar glass. When in Hawaii, it's called olivine or Hawaiian diamonds. In Europe, where it is mined for its gem value, it's called peridot. By any name, it still serves to help lovers share their true feelings.
